A large consignment of sturgeon has been detained in Khabarovsk Krai
The staff of the border Department of the FSB of Russia across Khabarovsk Krai and Jewish Autonomous region as a result of operative-investigative activities in the village of Nigiri of the Nikolaev area in non-residential premises discovered and seized 68 specimens of Kaluga and 14 copies of a sturgeon, weighing about 1.5 tons, reported IA AmurMedia in the press service of border Department of the FSB of Russia across Khabarovsk Krai and Jewish Autonomous region.
Preliminary damage caused to the state is about 1 million rubles.
Currently, the staff of Management carried out to document the illegal activities and criminal case under article 258.1 of the criminal code “Illegal production and trafficking of valuable wild animals and aquatic biological resources belonging to the species listed in the Red book of the Russian Federation and (or) protected by international treaties of the Russian Federation”.
