In the Khabarovsk region continue to illegally catch Amur sturgeon
As reported in the press service of the Amur basin environmental Prosecutor’s office, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Interdistrict nature protection Prosecutor’s office in the course of check-out in Verkhnetulomskoe rural settlement of Komsomolsky district, Khabarovsk region revealed the fact of illegal extraction of sturgeon Amur.
Rules of fishing for far Eastern fishery basin, approved by order of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia from 21.10.2013 № 385, the extraction (catch) of sturgeon is prohibited.
Environmental Prosecutor filed as item 2 of part 2 of article 37 of the criminal procedure code of the Russian Federation materials of public Prosecutor’s check into the bodies of preliminary investigation to decide on the establishment and prosecute the perpetrators of illegal extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources, especially valuable.
By results of consideration of the Prosecutor law enforcement agencies initiated a criminal case under part 1 of article 258.1 of the criminal code (illegal extraction of especially valuable wild animals and aquatic biological resources belonging to the species listed in the Red book of the Russian Federation). Currently under investigation.
Sturgeon alive returned to their natural habitat.
