Usually the bream prefers to stay in rivers for quite temperate for near a fairly steep, steep banks, at a depth of at least 3 and sometimes 4 feet, but sometimes he goes in bays with deeper pits.
Of course, you can also find it in the mill pools of water above and below dams, or in between the pilings of bridges.
In lakes the bream prefers the deepest places that generally start with a cliff for a strip of reeds or canes. Rarely chooses the middle of the pond in a former channel of the river, or hiding in a very quiet stretches, having clean pits, between thickets of plants.
In the spring, with the onset of warm Sunny days, the bream started to be caught on bait. However, the best bite you can catch after the spawning season, from late may until mid-July. Further, since the second half of August, the bite on bream is enhanced under favorable weather conditions continues throughout the first half of October.
Mainly for catching bream on a float in the lakes, use a simple rod with a float, which is usually used for deep water fishing, like bottom, don’t forget to remove the float, and thus to increase the quantity shipped on a leash.
However, the fishing-rod for catching of this fish should be taken as stronger than (length 4 to 4.5 mm), because you have to throw the nozzle away from the coast to the reeds or even in the pit.
For bottom fishing from a boat or boats, will fit shorter rods (length from 2.5 to 3.5 m), after placed a small coil, which can accommodate up to 25 metres of line and has a capacity of 2 to 2.5 kg.
So, the best woods for this fish is considered jilkova. Its thickness is 0.3 mm. But can be used as woven silk, and nylon fishing line (my best one), but only if the garters to them the leash (length 1m) or thin iskovojo undergrowth.
So, when fishing for bottom fishing in deep and quiet river backwaters, or rapids, in the moment when you have to put a heavy load, use a stronger line, the capacity of which is 3 to 4 lbs. But don’t forget that the leash should be thinner the line, painted in blue or in green, or even transparent (its thickness is from 0.15 to 0.20 mm, length not less than 30 cm).
It is important to rememberthat bream doesn’t want to be caught on a rough tackle. So the professional fishermen usually caught on a bottom bait with a sliding sinker, or sometimes put large pieces, but float on a rod, opt for a pair of, three small pellets.
Basically, the float from gasinci or Kuga, tied as close as possible to the apex of the rod. And when fishing from the bottom, the woods usually pull it so that the float just stood. However, it needs to be immersed in water not more than ¾ of its length. Hooks under the numbers 4 – 6 are applicable for nozzles of large bark beetles, numbered 7 – 9, which are suitable for fishing at medium worms, maggots or peas. And the smallest hooks going under the numbers 10 and 12, apply for other baits.
It is worth mentioning that the bottom gear is usually caught from evening until morning. However, in overcast rainy weather, bream excellent bite even during the day.
But in lakes, bream are often caught on the float rod. Going fishing in a quiet, warm evening, managing to appear in place by the time when the lake will calm down after a day of excitement. Then the boat put a little bit away from the bait to the lure, just at the place where, and covered the bait.
Evening fishing continues until almost midnight (on average up to ten, eleven o’clock) and after resumes only with the coming of dawn. In the evening a small bream climb into the reeds with the aim to produce their own food, and therefore successfully caught in the period on a float together with roach, IDE and other fish.
Bream are demersal fish, so she used to eat from the bottom. However, in the fast stream, while walking in the reeds, bream, maybe even the shed to grab the bait. Clutching a worm-lip bream in a hurry to lift it with a leash and gruselle, he goes to the side, slowly dragging the float. So it should be hooking hard enough, but it does not act too harshly.
Large breams very strongly and confidently resist in the woods, however, having, two, three circles in the deep, he gets tired very quickly because he loses balance, rises to the surface and falls on the side.
And finally, remember that when fishing for bream you need to avoid any noise and any bumps and try to sit in the boat quietly, without attracting attention from the suspicious fish. But as the set gear, it depends on your method and the intended tactics of catching bream!
