Joint raids in the border waters of Amur violations
From 20 to 28 June, the inspectors of fisheries of Russia and China conducted joint monitoring activities for fisheries and compliance with fishing regulations in the boundary waters of the middle and upper Amur. The parties exchanged information on strengthening conservation activities.
In the period of a complete ban on extraction of water bioresources on the territory of China the Russian and Chinese delegations visited fishing camps near the city of Heihe, where he got acquainted with permits on catch and storage procedure of fishing boats. Inspectors also held discussions with the Chinese fishermen on the need to respect the rules of fishing and the summer ban on catching fish. Every year it is a limitation of the period of spawning sturgeon from 11 June to 15 July.
To counter illegal fishing, the delegations exchanged information to strengthen conservation activities in the summer ban on fishing in frontier waters of rivers Amur and Ussuri.
