“The company went to this whole year: we were looking for equipment, established a production line and trained staff. We implemented this project in the framework of the regional program of development of fishery industry”, — said the head of the company Sergey Lutarevich.
The volume of issue of sprat in oil in a glass jar will amount to six thousand tons of cans per shift.
Experts the fish processing industry have noted that the launch of this line is a landmark event: sprats in a glass jar in demand on the Russian market, Kaliningrad products will be replacing the previously supplied to the country in the same container Latvian canned food.
Previously Manager of the Moscow representative office of the company Gamma-A, which after the introduction of the ban on the supply of sprats in the Russian Federation from Latvia has transferred part of the production in Kaliningrad, told Sputnik Latvia, the quality of product is degraded. Recall that in early June 2015, the Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the supply to Russia of fish products from Latvia and Estonia because of the systematic violations identified by the Agency during inspections and in connection with the presence in the production of carcinogenic substances benzopyrene.
In mid-December 2017, the Rosselkhoznadzor lifted the ban on the supply to Russia of sprat from two companies in Latvia and Estonia. Resolution on the resumption of supplies for the Latvian company SIA Karavela (canned, preserved foods), as well as Estonian company DGM Shipping AS (fish and fish products — anchovies, herring).
