On Sakhalin, the local resident appointed to the court the penalty for extraction of sturgeon
As reported in the press service of the Prosecutor of the Sakhalin region, the ruling of the magistrate court plot №11 resident Okha district, accused of committing a crime under part 1 of article 258.1 of the criminal code (illegal production and trafficking of especially valuable wild animals and aquatic biological resources belonging to the species listed in the Red book of the Russian Federation and (or) protected by international treaties of the Russian Federation), appointed as a criminal-legal character in the form of court fine.
The court found that on 5 July 2018 the defendant, by means of the forbidden tools of fishing (of Leskova network) illegally extracted in the waters of Sakhalin Bay 1 sturgeon individual fish species “Kaluga”, which after butchering the component parts of the illegally kept in his residential house. The amount of damage caused by the crime, amounted to 12 500 RUB. This fact is revealed by the employees PU FSB of Russia on the Sakhalin region in the production of operational-search activities.
At trial convicted guilty of the alleged crime was acknowledged, repented of his actions.
The court, taking into account the position of public Prosecutor, given the lack of criminal record, small the gravity of the offence, admission of guilt and restitution in the full amount of damage, has stopped criminal case in connection with the appointment of the measures of criminal-legal character in the form of court fine.
The decision of the court in force has not entered.
